About EPI Networking

OUR MISSION

EPI Networking is a community-based not-for-profit whose mission is to assist people displaced by the current economic crisis to return to the job market or redirect their career. Services include counseling on interview skills, job searches, training, placement, as well as referral to other community or government-based programs.

THE EMERGENCY

We are facing an unprecedented economic crisis within our community. The current economic downturn is the most severe financial crisis that America has faced since the 1930’s. Thousands of jobs have been eliminated and there is no end in sight.

The most severely hit sectors include Wall Street and the banking, insurance and mortgage industries. Several thousand families have lost their income. The unemployed range from computer programmers to mortgage brokers in all salary ranges. Many have large families and substantial expenses. In the past, with easy credit, we have become a community that lives beyond our means. There are fewer jobs available and many applicants chasing each available position.

THE SOLUTION

Provide a range of employment and staffing, to support services accurately, quickly and efficiently for individuals.

When a breadwinner loses his or her job after many years in the work force, the family has no idea where to turn for assistance. Many often need help with interviews, job searches, training and placement. The family may have to learn how to budget expenses and most importantly they may need direct financial aid. Often they need to be referred to existing government and community programs.

THE EMERGENCY PARNOSSA INITIATIVE

Under the directorship of Zach Novoseller, EPI has launched multiple programs to address the family needs and business requirements of members of our community who have lost their income source.
